Highlights:
Top-tier Mentor Resources: Eight artists from world-class music institutions will form the "Bridge Mentor Alliance." Each expert will select six students (three from within the school and three from outside) to conduct a 45-minute in-depth one-on-one masterclass. (*Note: Mentorship spots are subject to application screening.)
Empowerment for Growth: Through in-depth communication, students will enhance their mutual understanding with the professors. After the class, students will receive expert feedback letters from their mentors, which will aid in their future academic and artistic development. Outstanding students may be invited to participate in future VMAA series concerts.
Inclusive Art Ecosystem: All masterclasses are open to the public for free observation, creating an inclusive and open platform for art learning.

① May 28th Professor Steven Spooner
Professor Steven Spooner is a Professor of Piano at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, the Artistic Director of the Chicago International Competition.
② May 28th Dr. Yangmingtian Zhao
Dr. Yangmingtian Zhao who is a Dual-major Ph.D. from Northwestern University, and the Master's Thesis Advisor at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou.
③ May 29th Professor Ilia Scheps
Professor Ilia Scheps is the Special Guest Professor/Artistic Advisor at Vanke Meisha Academy School of Arts, and a former faculty at Cologne University of Music and Dance
④ May 30th Professor Meng-chieh Liu
Professor Meng-chieh Liu is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, he is now a professor at the New England Conservatory of Music
⑤ June 3rd Dr. Charlotte Hu
Dr. Charlotte Hu is a winner of the Rubinstein International Piano Competition, and a faculty at Berklee College of Music in Boston
⑥ June 12th Professor Bingbing Li
Professor Bingbing Li is a professor at the Royal Northern College of Music, the Artistic Director of the LOML International Piano Music Festival
⑦ September (Tentative) Professor Jianing Kong
Professor Jianing Kong is a professor of Keyboard at the Royal College of Music, he is also a Professor at the Central Conservatory of Music
⑧ September (Tentative) Professor Danwen Wei
Professor Danwen Wei is the Head of the Piano Department and Professor at the Central Conservatory of Music, and the Vice President of the Chinese Musicians Association Piano Society.
Specific Registration Process for Masterclasses:
STEP 1: Scan and Register
Scan the QR code below to fill out and submit your personal registration information.
STEP 2: Create and Upload Video
Record a video of yourself performing two pieces from different eras that reflect your level. Upload the video to a public platform such as Bilibili or Tencent Video. The video requirements are as follows:
- The video must be recorded with a fixed camera position, in landscape mode, with the performer neatly dressed and fully visible on screen.
- The performance must be memorized, and the selected pieces should not be repeated (except for structural repeats).
- The performance must be unedited, with no post-production sound adjustments, and the camera must not move. The video must be complete and synchronized with sound.
- The video must have been recorded after December 1, 2024.
STEP 3: Submit the Link
- Deadline: Complete the submission by May 18th.

- Email Requirements:
- Subject Line: Applicant's Name + Masterclass Application.
- Body: Include the applicant's name and contact information, the names of the pieces performed, and the link to the video platform.
- Applications submitted late or not in the required format will be considered invalid. Please prepare in advance and verify that your submission meets the above requirements before sending. Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
